Holy Hell, was this book SMOKIN'! I'm officially on the hunt for a sugar daddy hotter than my coffee, bro.
Kayla Riane really set the pages on fire with this debut— banging job (yes, pun intended). The chemistry between Emme and Ben was off-the-charts from their very first meeting. Sometimes age-gap romances (he's 45, she's 24) can feel like they belong in the 'no, thank you' zone, but these two were a perfect fit. Usually, I love a dual POV, but seeing it all through Emme's perspective made it way better here.
And let's talk spice-so. much. good. spice. This wasn't just fluff; every scene actually built their trust. But still... there was a LOT of, well, spiciness. *Chef's kiss* Emmeline was bratty, no denying it. Honestly, there were a few times I wanted to yell, "shut up dummy, you're going to ruin it!" But I really loved how the author nailed the ADHD representation. Emme wasn't just a spaced-out ditz; it felt real and honest. And Ben? The patience of a saint, that one.
I wish we got more of Cora and Fred. What's their deal?
I'd totally read a spin-off.
Having Ben's POV in the epilogue was the cherry on top.
All in all, this book is a keeper, proudly displayed on my trophy shelf!
