Briar Valley is a phenomenal book. However, some parts were incredibly hard to read. I don’t read trigger warnings because I prefer to go into a book blind and trigger warnings tell you what may happen. Now fortunately for me I have no trigger warnings but for those that do, please read the warning carefully before proceeding. Now I loved this book. Willow is a young woman who had a rough childhood and her teenage years were robbed from her. The things that she endured were absolutely horrific. However, she found a way to get herself away from this situation and to a place called Briar Valley where she hopes she can be at peace. She is looking for a home for her and her daughter. She is lucky enough to find 3 different men who each support or enhance a different facet of her life. Killian is her protector, Micah is her emotional and mental support and Zach brings her humor. This book deals with a lot of emotional and mental issues and how we learn to work through them. There are two books in this set and the second book is just as good as the first because unfortunately although she is starting to feel safe and secure, her past has returned. This is not your ordinary small town story but a story of woman fighting for her life and her independence.
