Cackle by Rachel Harrison

3.0

This was actually a cute read. I expected spooky/creepy but it wasn’t that at all. There’s some magic. Some witches. Some spiders… but nothing really spooky. I felt like this was more of a friendship story and finding oneself. The MC spends majority of the book dealing with a break up and navigating that while sparking a new friendship. She rebuilds her life and finds herself and her own worth. There’s a good meaning behind the story. I enjoyed the feminine taking back her power type thing that I felt like this story was trying to convey. It was enjoyable. Just not what I expected. 3.5 stars.
