This Delicious Death by Kayla Cottingham

This book was something I've been looking for for a decade now. I don't even know if it was intentional, but this is so similar to the BBC series In the Flesh. I've never found anything else like it, so it reignited something in my brain to read this. The book itself is a little more Jennifer's Body as opposed to the show's contemplative, philosophical nature. I tried not to hold that against the book, but I did feel there was just a smidge too much action and some of the emotional depth got glossed over in the process. The beginning was perfection, the end was a thrill ride, it was just missing a little more oomph and discussing the implications of certain elements. I mean characters very much plan and begin to execute genocide and nobody really deals with the gravity of that. I highly recommend it, but maybe watch In the Flesh after....
