It was just ok, I wasn’t wowed by or connected to any of the characters in this story. Everyone annoyed me at at least one point except for Ysrael and Suna had such short chapters that only felt relevant once or twice which is sad because I was honestly more interested in her story than Mina’s. Her character wasn’t explored as thoroughly as it could’ve been...same with Mina but Suna was more noticeable.
It felt like there was a lot going on for such a short book and none of it was given the time to expand and really make the important parts feel substantial. There was not a lot of payoff in this book and I was ready to see something happen with the ending but it just fell flat. I just closed the book and went “...ok...and?” There was also little to no resolution and you don’t know how most of the important plot points resolve in the end because it’s not addressed to its full conclusion.
There were a few good moments but overall this one was a flop for me.
