I'm not a native english speaker and I must say MXTX books are very challenging to read. I'm also not used to the pacing and time jumps (these also confused me in mdzs). So it's defenitly a book you have to read activly and not zone out and just soak it in (like I would read eg Percy Jackson).
But the story is beautiful, I love all characters (exept Qui Rong, he is so annoying, but he is meant to be like that) and Xie Lian and Hua Cheng are just perfect. I love their relationship already
