I need a moment to collect my thoughts! – OKAY MOMENT OVER! Lauren sat down with her computer and said “I’m gonna write one of the best books ever” because that's exactly what she did! I mean what other book had enemies to lovers to enemies again? (Spoiler alert…NOT MANY). This book truly made me forget I was even reading because it felt like a movie was playing in my head. There were so many high stakes in this and every chapter I felt like I was on the edge of my seat. I never knew what was gonna happen before it happened. (well I maybe did for one or two chapter but that's not the point)

“Remind me to make you smile like that again, when you aren’t dying, and I have all the time in the world to memorize it.”

KAI AZER is the definition of HIGH EXPECTATIONS. From the moment he started talking to the last possible piece of dialogue he had in this was top tier. If Kai threw a dagger at me I would probably tell him thank you. Truthfully Kai gave off the same energy as Damon Salvatore which only made me love him more.

Pae is my child and I’ll fight anyone who has something to say about her (seriously!). Pae is the definition of “revenge is a dish best served COLD!” Pae is such a strong fmc with such a valid reason for everything she did throughout this. I can’t express how much I love and admire her in words!

I’m mentally kicking myself for not reading this sooner because it is so AMAZING! And if anyone wants to know what it's like to read a slow burn book pls pick this up because my heart still aches.
*I only cried three times! – Claps for MEEE! (I cried after writing this review because I miss my babies!)

I’ll truly never forget this book.
