Under The Mistle-tome by Sammi Cee

This book was pretty cute. It was pretty short, and it did sort of feel like it was rushing through the plot points. It also felt like it relied way too heavily on Trey and Trevor's past relationship to set the foundation of their new one. Being best friends with someone until the age of 15, you do basically know each other better than anyone else, but to be out of contact for 10 years and then meet again, one of you now a father, there's a lot more relearning it felt like needed to happen. This book also had a ton of Holly, the 4 year old daughter, in it, and she was a sweet little thing, but it was a bit much for my personal taste. I would have liked to see a little more relationship building between Trey and Trevor instead. I did really like both Trey and Trevor, as well as Trey's parents. I thought Trevor's back story with Holly's mom was really well written and interesting, and I loved that he was secretly an author as well as an illustrator. The book series he'd had published was bittersweet in the best way. I really did love he and Trey together, but it just felt a little too rushed.
