you can tell the author is trying to be relatable and quirky by name dropping all these reader-related buzzwords and tropes, but it just comes off as cringe. like so incredibly cringe that i have to give up on the book. there has to be a way to write a book about niche internet book reviewers that does not have to be having constant “haha, you see what i did there? i just broke the fourth wall! isn’t that so quirky and silly of me?” moments. the only reason this book is getting an extra .25 is because of Jeanette. she fucking carried this book!
