The Loss of a Pet: A Guide to Coping with the Grieving Process When a Pet Dies by Wallace Sife

hopeful informative reflective slow-paced

3.0

While this book had several helpful bits, many aspects were dated, especially considering this is the fourth edition published in 2019. For instance, Sife's stance on declawing (he referred to it as "temporary pain") is inaccurate and unscientific. I think any future updated editions would benefit from the input of an animal behaviourist.

That said, there is still a great deal of useful information here. If nothing else, it lets you know you're not alone.
