The first chapter of the book felt like a gut punch, but we spent very little time sitting in the height of the protagonist's eating issues and a long time after that where her relationship with food was pretty much healed, so the journey didn't have the emotional weight it could have. I also didn't feel like we were watching her journey, we were just jumping into moments where she had already done the work and we didn't have much information as to how she got there.
