Didn’t hit the Marc

I’ve been intrigued with Ian and Marc’s story since the end of Conduit Crisis when Marc showed up and I guessed Ian may be involved with him in some way, so I was excited to read their book.

I loved their snarkiness and banter with one another. They are really funny with each other and Marc has this dry humor that goes over most people’s heads or isn’t meant to be funny but is.

Unfortunately I wasn’t sold on the romance. It didn’t progress organically for me, and once it started (which was so hot btw) the next chapter was 2 months later I think. I really don’t like to be ‘told’ what’s going on, I like to be ‘shown’ what’s going on. So in this case, it fell flat for me.

Also, I was really fed up about the 800th time someone accused Marc of mind controlling Ian or Con flew off the handle about something. It was kinda funny in the last series but super annoying in this book.
