I don't even know what to say about this book, except for I think the book that was my favourite of all time until today, will have to share that spot from now on.
The characters, the family and friendship dynamics, the plot, the magic system, the entire atmosphere - I can't think of a single thing in this book I didn't love.
It made me laugh, it made me cry and it gave me pretty much every emotion in between. I literally spent the entire last hour or so of the audio book switching back and forth between crying and jumping around my kitchen in pure joy.
Also, I highly recommend the audio book. I often find myself having trouble fully connecting with a story and its characters when I'm listening to it on audio. But Avi Roque does such a great job narrating this one that I really felt like I was on this journey with the characters, instead of just having someone tell me about it.
