The Last Man by Mary Shelley
1.0
I got so stuck while reading this book that I didn't even make it to the bit about the mass plague.
It's a shame because this book sounded great - one of the first apocalyptic science fiction novels, and it was written by a woman. I didn't even know that Mary Shelley had written other books!
But this was too much; the writing is a strange combination of dense and on the surface. When I put it down I didn't feel and urge to pick it up again.
Disappointed, but I'm not one to trudge through a book if I'm not enjoying it.
