The Immeasurable Depth of You by Maria Ingrande Mora

4.0

”Maybe we’re all meant to hurt each other a little bit. All the time.”

It’s scary how I resemble Brynn in, well, every aspect, even physically. When I looked at the cover, my first thought was “she looks just like me!” I related to everything Brynn thought and her behaviors are the same as how I’d deal with things.

The world develops in the most modern way, the characters can talk about anything and everything like there aren’t sides to take and that’s what I didn’t like so much and affected my rating. Some of the themes could’ve been avoided or talked about with more depth than just “how it is” and move on from that. The book does need to be edited once more.

Anxiety makes you less empathetic, but it makes you more sensitive to the world around you and that’s Brynn’s point of view exactly because anxiety isn’t just being worried sick. It makes you feel like it’s twisting your insides while invading every corner of your mind without any reason why. I think anyone who wants to see a different side of how it feels to live with anxiety should read this book.
