I had a great time with this one. Cassius and Briar were hot from the start and I am always going to be SAT for black cat x golden retriever combo. I think the darker theme with the suspense made for a very intriguing story. These two authors continue to create great books together, their styles create a great combo that keeps me reading. The reveal of the "villain" lost me a bit because I felt like it needed more connection to Briar but once it played out it worked well I get why the authors did what they did. The spice was SPICING especially that "take your anger out on me" scene because WOW. Just overall a great read, excited to see where this series goes.
