my first 5 star read of 2023. when poets write novels >>> a beautiful generational fiction novel that strays away from linear storytelling to weave a family's emotional history. you can tell each sentence was thoughtfully crafted. i will definitely be reading more from tara stringfellow in the future. even the acknowledgements made me tear up. it's one of those novels that remind you really good writing still exists.
