Felix Ever After by Kacen Callender

5.0

Felix Ever After by is one of the most impactful books I have read this year.

This book is about diversity, about representation, about acceptance and love...not just by others, but by one's own self. This book is about Felix Love, a black trans teen, coming in terms with his gender and his complicated feelings about love. His remarkable journey of self-discovery and self-identity warmed my little heart. What I particularly liked about the book is that it is messy, like life...and everything does not tie up neatly in the end. But there's hope, and then there's love.

Also, that incredibly beautiful cover...bright and fiery, burning like the flames inside Felix. That’s the spirit of this book...all fire that cannot be put out, no matter what.
Burn Felix - for Ever After, and let your fire touch every person there is.
