Girl, Serpent, Thorn by Melissa Bashardoust

I loved this book. I loved the Persian elements of the story - a mythology I love but know little about, a region of the world steeped in history and stories I would love to hear more of.

The story of a girl who is poison and so is isolated and removed from anyone who might otherwise love her and how she grows into her self and the idea of her power. It was lovely, it was sweet. The writing was lyrical and truly delightful.
