Once upon a time ... I used to read only romance. They were just the easiest books to keep around. I could pick them up at the thrift store to have on hand. I always said I just liked the romance, the story. I wasn't really reading it for the steamy sex scenes (although I didn't mind them). This book was perfectly clean, but completely captivating. I really enjoyed it ... ... it also made me very sad. Although hubby and I are fine, 20 years into our marriage, we're a little stuck in the dreary day to day. This made me miss the banter, romance, longing of a new love.

Now this book, and the Shades of Grey series are completely different ... but as I read, I found myself making a few comparisons! The way the main character talked to her heart almost as a separate entity (as the MC in Grey spoke of her "inner goddess") ... and there were a couple "Oh My" ... which had been a common phrase in the Grey series. Silly similarities I know :)

A definite thumbs up on this one though. Quick and easy read.
