This was a very cerebral novel: part fiction story about mammoths and their fight for survival, part reflection on the harm that we do to our planet and its wildlife and part coming-of-age novel (in a way) about coming to terms with life and understanding how things really work.
The actual story and action in the novel was great, but I felt the story struggled a bit with wonky structure that made the story a bit hard to follow at points.
Overall I did really enjoy the story though!
