Back with the next book in the, “Reynolds Protective Group” series! A romantic suspense in which, Zoey Roberts was still looking over her shoulder, worried and scared about her stalker potentially finding her again. Whereas, Hunter Reynolds, the second oldest of the Reynolds men, was still as infatuated and wanted to be with Zoey. Hunter was the man that every man and woman would say embodied real, “book boyfriend” vibes, but with all the things Zoey experienced in her past, she was reluctant to let love in. Set in the small town of Wisdom, Wyoming, this story focused on Zoey and Hunter’s relationship from boss/employee to lovers mixed in with a bit of suspense and danger lurking in the shadows.

In the first book, I got to see glimpses of Hunter and Zoey, and I was immediately intrigued by their little moments. From the first book, it hinted at Hunter and Zoey obviously being attracted to one another, but due to something in Zoey’s past, she felt like she wasn’t in a place to be looking for love or feeling comfortable enough to trust someone again in that capacity. Getting to see Hunter in this book had me smiling and loving him right away because, you could instantly tell how much Hunter liked Zoey, and wanted to prove to her how much he was willing to wait for her. Not to mention, the fact that Hunter started listening to the audiobook for Zoey’s book club not just as a way to get close to her, but also ended up loving the story too. If a man ends up reading for my sake and finds the stories entertaining/ loving them, IMMEDIATELY YES!
Hunter was the EPITOME OF BOOK BOYFRIEND COME TO LIFE! As much as I LOVE my book boyfriend(s), Hunter Reynolds legitimately understood the assignment and raised the expectations EXPONENTIALLY SKY HIGH!
"Because book boyfriends are trapped in the pages," he rasped low. "They can't tell you how damn beautiful you are, Zoey. They can’t tell you how many nights they've dreamed of your smile or desired your touch. They can't step out of the book to stand in front of you, trembling with ache."
WHY MUST HUNTER BE A FICTIONAL MAN?! I’M TELLING YOU HIM SAYING THAT HAD ME SCREAMING FOR JOY AND SWOONING!!
As much as I was loving the romance between Hunter and Zoey, there was still danger that kept coming back in Zoey’s life. After constantly being on the run, Zoey finally thought that living in Wisdom was the moment where she’d be completely free of her past, but suddenly it came back with a vengeance. Zoey’s stalker had found her again and just when Zoey felt comfortable in her new home, she felt scared and worried. Thankfully, Zoey had Hunter to help and protect her! If you love to see an overprotective man worrying about his love interest, that was EXACTLY how Hunter was when it came to Zoey’s safety. I felt sympathetic towards Zoey, she didn’t deserve to feel scared and uncomfortable in her new home, and on top of that having to relive the trauma that had been plaguing with due to her stalker was just disheartening to see. Hunter may have joked around about his “caveman” tendencies, but at his core he wholeheartedly cared about Zoey and making sure nothing or nobody hurt her! I love seeing an overprotective man, and I was glad to see Hunter coming in strong and supportive for Zoey.
Hunter had me swooning and smiling from the very beginning, and then once the spicy scenes happened, I was BURNING UP! Hunter was not only an incredible book boyfriend come to life for Zoey, but he was equally amazing and prepared to ROCK HER WORLD! Zoey was use to relying on her romance books as a way of getting to read about dream worthy men, but Hunter was the perfect man for her not only in terms of keeping her safe, but also showing all the ways he WANTED HER! Hunter was an absolute BEAST IN THE BEDROOM! The spicy scenes really felt like you can feel the primal passion between Zoey and Hunter. Zoey and Hunter’s spicy scenes were raw, sexy, HOT AF! And my goodness gracious, THE DIRTY TALK AND THE WAY HUNTER WAS!!!!!!! PHEW GET ME A COLD GLASS OF WATER! Not a lot of spicy scenes, but the ones that were included packed a punch, and sent my heart racing to the max!
Once again, I have fallen in love with Dr. Rebecca Sharp’s book! Hunter and Zoey were incredible together! The tension, the romance, the primal passion was prominent all throughout the story that I felt their chemistry sizzling! I especially loved the way Zoey and Hunter bonded over reading and Hunter finally enjoying reading through audiobooks. Hunter set the standards higher than possible, and I absolutely adored him SO MUCH! I can’t express just how much Hunter blew me away from making me swoon to blush to downright get me all hot with his spicy scenes with Zoey!!! Zoey had a lot to overcome, but through the Reynold’s family and her friends in Wisdom, Zoey was able to finally settle down in her new home, and get her much deserved happily ever after! The suspense and danger was interesting, and I liked the little twist towards the end. I have nothing, but great words to express how much I loved this story, and the characters stole my heart. I especially loved the epilogue getting to see how happy Hunter and Zoey were, and it just made me smile so much! I’m looking forward to the rest of the series, and slowly but surely I CANNOT WAIT TO READ RANGER’S BOOK!
