Murder on West Lake by I.M. Foster

4.0

Such a great mystery! After discovering the murdered body of Clyde Dunmore rumors started flying. ‘Murder’ is not something people want to be around when Christmas time is approaching. So doctor and coroner’s assistant, Daniel O’Halleran is ambitious to figure out the murder. Kathleen Brissedon, his love interest, is a sarcastic women who tends to live life ahead of the times. It is 1904 and she wants to continue to prove to Daniel that she useful to the investigation, just as she has been in the previous books, but she is suppose to be in mourning because of her father’s recent passing. So this investigation he has to solve on his own, even if she doesn’t make it easy on him. At times it is quite funny how frustrated he gets.
As the investigation continues the clues don’t seem to add up and it seems like some people are either lying or hiding some important information from him. Daniel is determined to figure out which suspect is lying and which is telling the truth before Christmas comes and another murder happens!
Enjoy this murder mystery with a splash of romance!

I.M Foster adds on historical notes at the end and I really enjoyed reading through those, especially since I have a chemistry background the detail to medical history was fabulous. She tied in a lot of the characters to these historical notes, which was extremely unique.
