Attitude Is Everything: Change Your Attitude... Change Your Life! by Jeff Keller
1.0
I know I was just mentioning the other day how healing and therapeutic some self help books can be, but then I bumped into this one.
The title and the book content aren't similar in the way I had expected to be. "Attitude" here doesn't mean skills to interact with people or situations. Rather it is AGAIN about law of attraction. I believe so much in the law of attraction, and I have read many books covering this. But I was not hoping for another guide to the law of attraction when I chose to read it. Anyways, I thought I would still like to read it and so I continued. But. THIS AUTHOR IS SO SELF-CENTRED MYGOD. I understand sometimes personal anecdotes are a way in self help books but here IT IS TOO MUCH (and I have only read two or three chapters before DNFing it lol).
And what's more, he's explaining the "warnings" of law of attraction more than its "benefits", and there are some other highly pessimistic lines that will make an overthinker overthink negatively even more!
Look, the whole point of a self help book is that you should be speaking TO the readers, not speak to them about YOURSELF. And you should be COMFORTING them and NOT WARN ABOUT IMPENDING DANGERS all the time!
OH AND PLEASE CHANGE THE TITLE OF THE BOOK, IT'S MISLEADING. AND YOU'VE DONE A HORRIFYING JOB TRYING TO JUSTIFY THE TITLE.
not recommended to anyone lol.
