Awesome story with a classic badass character with a tragic backstory. Crazy cool magic system thats a mix of voodoo with classic focus/learned magic. 

Writer has alot of big ideas in the series which are moving in cool directions but unfortunately the series is uncomplete with only one more book coming out. My concern here being that the series is called the King-killer chronicles and we haven't even met a king yet. 

The author has stated he has finished the last book over a decade ago but has yet to release it and there are no talks of releasing it as far as I know.

Favorite book series currently and really hopeful that he will release the last book and make more in this rich world.
