I read this a couple of years ago and for some ridiculous reason I couldn’t connect with the story but I am happy to say that 2 years ago me was very deluded

This was such a joy to read and it will more than likely give you all the feels. I liked how the main character was in his 40s still trying to navigate life and how you never know what’s around the corner

It was full of positive affirmations all whilst following the main character who is building meaningful relationships with the lovable inhabitants who live by the sea. My little gripe was that I wish there was a little more world building/background given about the magical beings and their existence but I guess this wasn’t the focal point of the story

The ending was perfect and I have already started the sequel as I want the good feels to last!
