This was a book that I never planned to read, but due to a friend's consistent praises, I decided to give it a try. I was enthralled from start to finish. This single book could honestly been a whole series of interesting stories, yet it's packed all into one single read. The combination of Dumas and Maquet, his ghostwriter who is an awesome researcher, makes this a tale that's hard to put down.
