I'm Engaged To Mothman by Paige Lavoie
4.0
This was a wholesome addition to the series, and wonderfully spicy. Moth and Heather will always have a special place in my heart because they're just so perfect for each other, and this book proved it.
The relationship is described in (mostly) such a healthy way, it's so refreshing. They both have excellent communication, are very open and honest with each other about their feelings, and are super accepting of the other without judgement.
It was also lovely to get to see this other side of Moth, too. How we got to spend the time with more of his loved ones and see where he grew up before he left. His mother and sister were both a delight.
However, my main issue with this book is how Lavoie took a fae approach to Moth and his backstop. I don't remember if I mentioned this in my first review, but I think there was something special about Moth being a weird little guy from this realm rather than a faerie Prince banished from his realm.
I also think the conflict was very forced. Because Lavoie had set up their relationship to be so healthy and communicative, when the relationship wasn't that way, it did feel like she was trying to add conflict for the sake of it, rather than just letting it flow naturally.
Overall, I loved this addition and cannot wait for the new release next month!
