The 7½ Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton

5.0

Ground Hog Day meets murder mystery is the shortest way to describe this book but man it was more dark and twisted than that.

So many aspects of this book took me right back to my ethics class in college. Choosing between right and wrong. What’s really the lesser evil and who are you to decide? So twisty. My mind was constantly churning every word over from the moment I started this book.

I was totally engaged from page one. There were definitely confusing moments because there are several characters. It can be hard to keep up with several details but fun to follow.

Big time “Good Place” vibes - new hell everyday. Dark and twisty all the way through. Yes confusing but I’m happy I stuck it out till the end. I power read the last 120 pages because I could NOT put it down. I’d knock a star because of the confusion, but the more I sit on it the more I liked it.
