This was absolutely life changing. I read it because it's my friend's favorite book and I wanted to experience her favorite story so we could talk about it ♥
As many times as World War II has been written about, this was such a unique experience. Told through the perspective of Death, this story follows a young girl living in Nazi Germany.
This book stabbed me in the heart, cut it out of my chest, ripped it apart, stomped on the pieces, and then shoved it back inside my chest.
I will recommend this book forever.
