Circe by Madeline Miller
5.0
To be honest, I mainly bought this book because of the beautiful cover art (not the one in the picture, but the one with all the flowers).
Suprisingly enough, I ended up really liking this book.
It had me hooked after reaching the 5o page milestone, it started quite slowly and this is a slowburn book, you are not going to get all the action in the first couple of pages.
Even though Miller had used some difficult language and way of writing, once I got used to it I ended up really enjoying the book.
Miller shows us a side of Circe that nobody has really seen before, that even though she is a inmortal goddess, she is also human with human feelings.
The ending was unexpected, Circe drinking that draught to become mortal just so she could spend eternity with her family, unexpected yet quite beautiful.
