Ship of Destiny by Robin Hobb
5.0
And just like that, my liveship journey is over. I feel like I know these characters so well and I’m going to miss them dearly, particularly Althea and Etta. Absolute icons. After the lack of female representation in the Farseer trilogy, Hobb really upped her game in this because the female characters kept the whole series going, in my opinion. The growth and development that Malta shows is incredible. She starts the series as a spoilt brat and ends up becoming a strong and respectable character. Also, Keffria realising that she’s much more capable than she ever thought was one of my favourite moments.
The whole series is so rich with world building, whilst also being easy to understand and honestly, they’re absolute works of art. Like, the best of the best. I don’t know how she does it but each book has blown me away. I’m so excited to get back to Fitz now though and find out what other trauma the world has in store for him.
