I find it almost funny how they hate the antichrist for saying love me or be punished but love god for doing the same thing to a much greater extent. I think the authors have been getting more push back on the sexism so that is a little better in this one. Unfortunately, the killed off the magical ethnic person for no reason which is the normal end for that trope.
