This is not my normal genre of reading and it took a moment to hook me, but when it did, I couldn't stop reading it and finding out the secrets this book held. Emily is in her senior year of high school and loses her mother in a horrible accident. She is relocated to a small Southern town where she meets her Grandfather for the first time. Also in this town is Julia, an older woman come back home after being banished at 16 to clean up her father's estate after his death. These two unlikely characters form a friendship that helps them with the pain and deal with secrets this town likes to keep quiet. Emily learns things about her Mother which was out of character for how her mother was around her. Julia needs to confront her past in order to move on. I would say this book was a sweet read and I HIGHLY Recommend it.
