It was quite the fun read and I was thinking of giving it 4.5 stars but then the last few chapters kinda threw me out of it a bit.
So much happened so fast all of the sudden and it turned into kind of a different story. When I finished I just thought: "...What just happened??"
I did like Briseis and many of the other characters in the book. I think Briseis' powers and all the connections to Greek mythology were very interesting. I liked the mentions of lesser known Greek mythological characters.
It was pretty enjoyable overall and I'm excited to read the second book of this duology. I'm interested in seeing where this goes.
