The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

5.0

Oh man this book. I knew absolutely nothing about the plot of this book going in, just that everyone that read it was raving about it. And holy %#&* did not disappoint. I don't know what I expected from this story but it took me by total surprise. I was so invested in Evelyn's story I couldn't stop turning the page. She was so flawed and raw and felt like she could be real. Reid's writing was absolutely captivating. I loved the mix of chapters from Evelyn's past mixed with Monique's pov mixed with news article clippings throughout. This story was so heartbreaking, empowering, and important. I can't recommend this enough.
