The writing is too much telling over showing and I’m begging authors to use a thesaurus! The amount of times “said” was used drove me insane.

I honestly didn’t care, there’s waaay too many words for nothing to actually happen. Also didn’t like the narration, it was done by Serle herself and she read it without any emotion. It was just like reading the book word for word.

Serle is just not an author for me I think. I loved In Five Years but her others have all been meh so I won’t read anything else from her
