The Legion by Melissa Delport
5.0
As I finished book one, there was a little blurb advertising the next book saying "Do you need to know what happens?" and yes, I NEEDED to know! I'd picked up the first book for free, and that marketing ploy worked, as I bought #2 and #3, and they were worth it.
This picks up about four months after book 1 left off. There is a prologue, that gives a quick recap (although I was lucky enough to read these back to back.)
Again, tons of British spellings of words (foetal, manoeuvring, prise, favour, meagre, kerb, programme), and also some phrases said by our American characters (slow-coach instead of slow-poke, lie-in instead of sleep-in) ... I really don't think they would have used those phrases.
The story ... again, was great! Lots of unexpected twists and turns. Just as at the end of book one, there is an additional chapter from a different perspective, that happens again here. It's an interesting ending (and yes, it happens again in book 3).
I was very happy that the final book was available for immediate download.
