First I want to thank Wordsmith Publicity and Hannah Gray for the arc of this book.

However, for me personally this was not my favorite book of Hannah’s. This book had so much potential because I absolutely loved Briar’s character. She was strong and sassy and I loved that about her. She stayed strong the whole book and was even strong for Hudson and the two of them. Briar carried this relationship on her shoulders and I didn’t feel it was a 2-sided relationship.

For me personally this book did not have the relationship growth we love to see in books. I felt it was purely physical vs emotional because Hudson was still in love with his deceased wife (he talks about her the whole book and there is a scene in the hospital where he sees her and wants to go with her but doesn’t even think of Briar until his wife brings her up).

I am still excited to see where this series goes and what comes next for these characters and their futures.
