This book is fine and I’m sure lots of people will like it but I’m just not connecting with it. It feels too formulaic and emotionless. Its a very typical romantasy- insert broody mentor/forbidden love here, add prophesied girl with powers she didn’t know she had, sprinkle in training scenes with a dash of will-they-won’t-they and repeat. Those are all tropes I love in books it just needed a little something else it make it special. I was more annoyed with the characters than invested in them. 🤷🏼‍♀️
