The God of the Woods by Liz Moore
3.0
Slow start but does progress into a complicated, multilayered missing persons case of sister and brother 15 years apart in occurrence. More interesting than anticipated but boy oh boy does wealth and glamour create more of a prison than freedom. Set in a WASPy nature preserve turned summer camp and full of corrupt, self indulgent rich people, so brace yourself on the healthy impending ick. I feel so bad that I made TERRIBLE assumptions (author planted) about TJ and Vic and in the end, they end up being the most wholesome of the characters. Also, Delphine and Peter can go kick all the friggin rocks. All around pretty tragic story. Trigger warning for child death, abuse and neglect and adultery.
