I enjoyed this book so much! It gave big time comfort read vibes for me. I adored Owen and Zak, and having the book basically split between Zak running and Zak finally letting himself stay was the perfect balance. This book started off with the spiciest of spice, and as the book went on, it tapered down, but not in a way that made you feel like you were missing out on that element. Owen made every effort he knew how to try to convince Zak that he wanted him, and I'm so glad that Zak really did stay and that there wasn't any drama pertaining to that. There was definitely a lot of emotion and even second-guessing on Zak's part on whether or not he could ever belong, but he trusted Owen enough to stay, and their love was such a treat to watch grow. I also really loved Zak's friends, and Owen's family and teammates. There was a lot of depth added to both men by including so much of their interactions with their loved ones. This book also had a little more hockey playing than most of the others in this series so far, so that was a fun little addition. I'm really enjoying this series and I think I'm going to have to go read the series about Owen's brother now, because he and his partners were just too cute for words.
