I don’t like reality TV, and I didn’t really want to read a book about it either. But I trusted my coworker’s recommendation. The amazing race theme of two-person teams traveling from Egypt to Japan to Scandinavia for a prize of one million dollars is more interesting than I expected, but the appeal of this book lies in the moving stories of the team members, why they became contestants and what they hope to find at the end.
