I don't see the hype. I am DNF -ing. The language is too formal for a book about someone's childhood. I don't need you to spend 4 paragraphs explaining how to play rock paper scissors. I don't need you to spend 5 pages explaining that your neighbor has Alzheimer's. I really wanted to like this but I don't feel like a 6-8 hour book should have an hour or more in between the exciting parts. Sorry for the scathing review but im sad about wasting my time with this book 🤣
