The perfect ending to hadassah and Marcus story!! I really loved it and thought that it really highlighted the flawed human in a very authentic way. Marcus’ chapters were my favourite for sure and I think rivers really showed the experiences of many Christian’s in questioning the goodness of god in the face of evil. His realisation is so powerful and just made me feel all of the emotions for sure. This book definitely delved deeper into the grapplings of Christianity with Marcus and also Alexander and medicine in a very relatable and realistic way. The balance of engagement in the story and the questions it brought up in my life really meant that the story impacted me in a way where it wasn’t just a story but a reflection of my own life and things that I should be thinking about more. Again I was blown away by hadassah’s persistent service to Julia and the power of forgiveness and love is just so powerful. reading this book, you just can’t help but be amazed at how good God is and how transforming and powerful His love is for us. It challenges me to mirror His love in my own life and to out His will above my own.
