It painted me not to finish a book by Lloyd Alexander, but I just couldn't. It was so racist. I know it's a fantasy, but it's a very thinly veiled fantasy of the middle east. The middle eastern characters are servile and untrustworthy and so racist it hurt to continue past the first 50 pages
