Dria!! This is one of my favorite series and i haven’t even read book four yet. She knows how to write characters along with their stories and the feelings just oozes off the pages. Love the way she writes communication between couples throughout this series. Rock Jamison i think might be my favorite. My man my man.
Rock’s story definitely captured my heart. I cried happy and sad tears in this book. I love that this man didn’t speak much but when he spoke his words meant something. He didn’t waste air “just because”. His back story and what he dealt with is something no one should have to endure. The Knight family is a true class act. Adina and Dallas have built something amazing and the way they look after Rock because that their son is beyond beautiful.
Julissa is such a strong, sassy, sweet female lead. She may be young but fierce she is. Babygirl can step in that ring and hold her own. So having someone strong like Rock made it easy to let him lead. She knew she was in good hands. Let each other be comfortable in their presence and that’s important in a relationship if you want that person to open up.
Highlights:
-The way those kids love Rock.
-Loved what he did for those mothers.
-Rock letting them twins know he ain’t no p***y.
-PD looking out for Rock.
-Rock realizing he is worth being loved.
-What Julissa said about Rock’s voice. “Don’t do that,” she said, touching his shoulder. “You don’t have to adjust your voice to me.”
-“One last time to save yourself, sug, because once i have you, I’m not letting another soul take you from me.”
-“You’re mine, and I’ll fight the world to keep you.”
-“That’s right, baby, relax and take me.”
“Nah, let me hear that shit. Tell me how good I’m making you feel.”
-“I’ll never stop you from marking your shit, sug. You smell amazing. I can’t wait to have you in my mouth.”
