Reckless by Elsie Silver

There’s something about Elsie’s writing that’s unparalleled. I love this series and I cannot recommend it enough. It’s everything you could want, and I don’t say that lightly. She even made me like the accidental/surprise pregnancy trope, and that’s hard to do (also the little chihuahua acted like a second kid practically and I loved little Peter’s personality!).

Winter’s character is misunderstood and has been for years. But the one person who has always seen her for who she is, is Theo. He might not understand all of her intricacies, but he knows that what he’s heard isn’t the whole story.

I loved Theo and Winter. I LOVED them. I loved that Theo took the time to break down Winter’s walls and become her barricade so she didn’t have to keep doing it herself. I loved how Winter recognized Theo for more than the playboy his reputation pegged him as. And while I absolutely hated Theo for a good chunk of this book, I love how Elsie crafted this story to make us yearn for them both together despite everything that got in their way.

And oh my god… Theo with an adorable baby in his arms had me SWOONING. Winter felt as though she was unloveable until her beautiful baby came into her life – and I’m so glad Theo showed her just how much there was to love about her.

I cannot recommend this book enough – but make sure you have nothing else going on for the rest of the day because you will not want to put this book down. I honestly just wish I could live in Chestnut Springs with all of them.
