The Late Bloomers' Club by Louise Miller
4.0
My first Modern Mrs Darcy Book Club read. Looking forward to hearing this author speak about the book. Thought it was ironic that the book I read before this one also had two sisters as main characters. Those sisters as these ( Kit and Nora) had very different personalities and also butted heads at times.
This story is really Nora’s coming of age/finding her life purpose story. I enjoyed the characters of the town, Guthrie. I felt like I could envision the setting, houses and visualize the people of this book due to the author’s writing. However, I also appreciated that the author didn’t become overly flowery or drawn out in her descriptors.
An easy realistic fiction read.
