Shadowed Fate by Rowan Shane

“Loneliness, I realize, is a dangerous thing. It can make you cling to the smallest scrap of nothing, convincing yourself it’s something. But, sometimes not enough is worse than nothing at all.”

“Shadowed Fate,” by Rowan Shane

I liked this book. It did have a lot of tropes (reverse harem, fated mates, enemies to lovers, fae, shifters, vampires, witches, academy, shadow magic etc). I did feel like the number of tropes overshadowed a lot of the book sometimes. I wish it was longer, so I had more time to fall in love and feel really connected to the characters, but it wasn’t bad, just a little fast paced for me. I’m going to read book two of the series and hope I get more invested in the characters and their romance. 3 out of 5 stars.
